Eri Kubota, Ph.D.

Graduated Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Health psychology concentration.

Dissertation theme was on Mindfulness and Adult Attachment theory and their relation to HIV risk behavior among college students. 

Dr.Kubota worked with variety of patient populations in New York City. She worked at Columbia University Medical Center, Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital, Downstate University Medical Center, and Gay Men's Health Crisis. 
Her training consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Client-Centered Approaches. Additionally, she has been incorporating Tarot Reading in her practice. Her therapeutic approach is quite eclectic. 

Dr.Kubota is a Level 2 AEDP therapist. AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) is a relatively new psychotherapy modality which is a healing-based approach to psychological issues.  

After participating Vipassana, particular type of meditation practice, for the first time about 6 years ago, her meditation practice became more intense and meaningful. Her experiences during and after vipassana and throughout her meditation practice, helped her form her own unique therapeutic approaches. She incorporates them into her therapy, workshops and group mediation works.
